Eligibility - Online Eligibility Form

Any U.S. citizen or permanent resident is eligible to receive services from this federally funded program as long as he or she has an ACT composite score of 24 or less OR a TOPS scholarship AND meets at least one of the following criteria:
First-generation college student (neither parent graduated from a four-year college)
Family's taxable income does not exceed levels set by federal government
Student has a disability and is registered with the LSU Office of Disability Services

Openings are limited and preference is given to students who meet the limited income levels requirement and are first generation or disabled.

Program Requirements

All SSS participants are expected to:
1. Meet with their SSS counselor regularly (at least three times per semester) to discuss academic progress
2. Attend weekly tutoring sessions if enrolled in math or foreign language classes
3. Take UC 0006 (College Study Skills) during their first semester
